What PopcornCrew Offers

PopcornCrew is a web platform that allows you to:

Create and manage personalized movie lists
Organize the movies you have watched, want to watch, or are currently watching
Discover new movies through personalized recommendations
Share your lists with other users
Interact with other users through comments, likes, and follows
Receive notifications about new movies available on your favorite streaming providers

The service is provided free of charge and may be modified, suspended, or discontinued at any time without notice.

Liability Limits

Movie Data

PopcornCrew uses the The Movie Database (TMDB) API to provide movie information. We are not affiliated, associated, or sponsored by TMDB. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of the movie information provided through the TMDB API. The data may contain errors, be incomplete, or not up-to-date.

Service Availability

We do not guarantee that the service will always be available, uninterrupted, secure, or error-free. The platform may be subject to interruptions for maintenance, updates, or technical issues.

Third-Party Content

PopcornCrew may contain links to third-party websites or services. We are not responsible for the content, privacy policies, or practices of such third-party websites or services.

Limitation of Liability

In no event shall PopcornCrew or its operators be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from the use or inability to use the platform.

Usage Rules

By using PopcornCrew, you agree to:

Provide accurate and up-to-date information during registration
Maintain the security of your account and password
Not share your login credentials with third parties
Use the platform only for legal and lawful purposes
Not post, upload, or share illegal, offensive, defamatory, obscene, discriminatory, hate-inciting content, that violates third-party rights or that may be considered inappropriate

Not use bots, automated scripts, or other means to access or use the platform in an unauthorized manner

Not behave abusively, threateningly, harassingly, or inappropriately towards other users
Respect the dignity and rights of all platform users

Zero Tolerance for Offensive Content and Abusive Users

PopcornCrew adopts a zero tolerance policy towards offensive content and abusive behavior. We do not tolerate any type of content or behavior that may be considered offensive, discriminatory, threatening, or inappropriate.

Offensive Content

The following are considered offensive content and therefore prohibited:

Content that incites hatred, violence, or discrimination based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability, or other personal characteristics
Defamatory, slanderous content or content that damages the reputation of others
Obscene, pornographic, or sexually explicit content
Content that threatens, harasses, or intimidates other users
Content that promotes illegal activities
Spam, unauthorized advertising content, or misleading content
Any other content that violates applicable laws or that may be considered inappropriate by the community

Abusive Behavior

The following are considered abusive behavior and therefore prohibited:

Bullying, harassment, or intimidation towards other users
Repeated sending of unsolicited or unwanted messages
Impersonation of other users or entities
Use of multiple accounts to evade restrictions or bans
Any behavior that violates the rights or dignity of other users

Reporting and Moderation Mechanisms

To ensure a safe and respectful environment for all users:

Content Reporting: Users can report offensive or inappropriate content using the reporting tools available on the platform
User Blocking: Users can block other users who behave abusively. When a user is blocked, their content is immediately removed from the feed of the user who performed the block
Automatic Filtering: The platform uses automatic filtering systems to identify and block potentially offensive content before it is published
Active Moderation: The PopcornCrew moderation team reviews all reports and acts within 24 hours of receipt

Consequences of Violations

In case of violation of this zero tolerance policy:

Immediate Removal: Offensive content is immediately removed from the platform
Permanent Ban: Users who post offensive content or behave abusively are permanently banned from the platform
Immediate Expulsion: In case of serious violations, the user is expelled immediately without notice
No Tolerance: No "second chances" are granted for violations of this policy. A single offensive content or abusive behavior can result in a permanent ban
Notification to Developers: All reports and blocks are immediately notified to the development team for prompt action

Remember: By using PopcornCrew, you explicitly agree to this zero tolerance policy. Posting offensive content or abusive behavior results in immediate and permanent consequences, including the permanent deletion of your account without the possibility of appeal.

Account Deletion and Suspension

User-Initiated Deletion

You can delete your account at any time from your profile settings. Deleting your account will result in the permanent removal of all your data, including movie lists, comments, and social interactions, unless retention is necessary to comply with legal obligations.

Suspension or Deletion by Us

We reserve the right to suspend or delete your account, at our sole discretion, if you violate these Terms, misuse the platform, or for any other reason we deem necessary to protect the platform or other users. In case of a serious violation, deletion may occur without notice.

In particular, posting offensive content or abusive behavior results in the permanent and immediate ban of your account, without the possibility of appeal or recovery. This measure is necessary to ensure a safe and respectful environment for all platform users.

Consequences of Deletion

After account deletion, you will no longer be able to access your data or retrieve associated information. Some data may be retained for a limited period for legal or security purposes.

Intellectual Property

All content on the PopcornCrew platform, including design, logos, text, graphics, and software, is owned by PopcornCrew or its licensors and is protected by copyright laws and other intellectual property laws.

Movie content (images, descriptions, etc.) is provided through the TMDB API and is subject to their terms of use. You retain all rights to the content you create on the platform (lists, comments, etc.), but you grant PopcornCrew a non-exclusive license to use, display, and distribute such content on the platform.

Changes to the Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Significant changes will be communicated via email or notification on the platform. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms. We encourage you to periodically review this page to stay informed.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and interpreted in accordance with Italian law. Any dispute arising from or related to these Terms will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Italian courts.
